Purchasing committees are formed based on the Supplies Law No.32 of year 1993, and its following amendments.

The Ministry of Finance purchases supplies through the following committees:

The Purchases Committee:

Responsible for purchases ranging from JD5, 000 to JD10, 000. Such purchases must be published in at least two newspapers.

Local Tenders Committee:

Responsible for purchases ranging from JD10, 000 and JD20, 000. Such purchases must be published in at least three newspapers.

Special Tenders Committee:

Purchasing that cost over JD20, 000 for a specific project.
