Minister of Finance Attends the Council of Arab Finance Ministers Meetings

Minister of Finance Omar Malhas is participating in the meeting of Arab finance ministers, currently held in the Kingdom of Morocco during 18-19 April, in addition to the annual meetings of the Arab financial institutions in the Kingdom of Morocco held in the same period.
Malhas stressed in a press statement the importance of these annual meetings held between the Arab finance ministers to discuss financial issues and share experiences and procedures implemented in each country within financial and economic reform programs.
Malhas also highlighted the importance of the annual meetings of the Arab financial institutions that are regarded as an opportunity to discuss financial relations with these bodies, including soft loans provided by these institutions to finance developmental projects in the Kingdom.
These Arab financial institutions include the Arab Monetary Fund, the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the Arab Investment Guarantee Corporation.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Iz-edine Kanakriyah, the Deputy Governor of the Arab Monetary Fund, is also attending these meeting as well as other MoF stakeholders who are members of the Boards of Governors of these institutions.
